Joseph B. Shacter is a Florida native, who has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1978 and a Certified Circuit Civil and County Mediator since 2007. He currently concentrates his private law practice in real estate and business transactions. While a corporate attorney representing franchisors, he drafted documents and closed on numerous multi-million dollar business sales, which transactions invariably included the sale or lease of commercial real estate. In his years of private practice, Joseph has conducted hundreds of residential real estate closings and litigated countless collection, foreclosure and tenant eviction cases.
As a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator, he has mediated numerous real estate and business transaction disputes. He was a member of the mediator panel fo the Fourth Circuit Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Mediation Program, which provided for mandatory mediation in residental foreclosure cases. He is regularly called upon to mediate presuit homeowner and condo minium association matters.
