Mediation Rates:
– 2 Party Case: $200 per party per hour
– 3 Party Case: $150 per party per hour
– 4 Party Case: $140 per party per hour
Minimum Fees:
– Half Day – 3 hours, or the amount of time reserved if more than 3 hours
– Full Day – 7 hours, or the amount of time reserved if more than 7 hours
The mediation fee is calculated based on your Mediator’s hourly billing rate as detailed above including any pre-mediation preparation time and post-mediation follow-up time spent on the matter.
Note: we do not charge any administrative, scheduling, or rescheduling fees. In exchange we ask that you please respect our time and the cancellation policy below.
MEDIATION CANCELLATION POLICY
If you need to cancel or reschedule, our office must be notified via email prior to the date and time indicated in your confirmation email for that particular mediation or arbitration in order to avoid the minimum fee.
Please note that for us to remain neutral, it is our policy to bill all parties equally for their portion of our minimum fees regardless of which party cancels a session or why it was canceled, even if it is being rescheduled, has settled, or one side is still willing to move forward.
Ronald (Ron) A. Shapo is an experienced attorney and mediator with over four decades of business, legal and neutral experience. His background includes serving as an accountant (prior to law practice), bank director and corporate counsel, business consultant, and law firm managing partner.
In his practice, he prevailed in cases of first impression and handled large complex matters involving a wide range of substantial contracts, financial matters, estate and development disputes. He has mediated cases involving construction, real estate/condominiums, probate, banking, corporations/partnerships, insurance/securities, commercial torts and contracts of many types. Regardless of the nature of the case, he uses both his transactional and litigation backgrounds to help facilitate a settlement.
His professional credentials include an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell for over 40 years, recognition as a Florida Super Lawyer, panelist at the Construction Super Conference, the Forbes Council of the Americas Conference and the Florida Information Technology Task Force, certification as a Florida Supreme Court mediator, and membership on the American Arbitration Association’s panel of neutrals.
